New Snow Removal Equipment Acquisition

The Helena Regional Airport Authority will be purchasing new snow removal equipment in 2011 to increase the efficiency of removing snow from the airport. This will include both snow plows and high speed runway sweepers. This project will replace current 1980’s-vintage equipment with larger, and more efficient tools available today. Efficient snow removal is a very critical component of airport operations to ensure aircraft can operate safely and on time during winter conditions.The Airport plans on spending $1.5 - $2 Million in 2011 to purchase this new equipment.
