Current Projects

Aircraft Firefighting Vehicle

New 1,500 gallon Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighting Vehicle for the Rocky Mountain Emergency Services Fire Training Center ñ this will replace an aging 1996 E1 1,500 gallon fire truck that is used at the facility to train airport firefighters who come here for training from all around the world.


Airport Security Enhancements

A number of security enhancements will be installed to increase the security of the airport and comply with Transportation Security Administration Regulations for access control.


Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighting Personal Protective Equipment Replacement

This project involves replacing the fire suits and gear worn by airport firefighters in compliance with the National Fire Protection Association requirements.


Wildlife Assessment Study

This project will include a year-long study to analyze if the Helena Regional Airport has any wildlife issues and will outline recommendations for mitigating any threats identified.


Airport Master Plan Study

A comprehensive Airport master Plan Study will be done to identify existing capacity of the airport system and outlines future developments necessary for the airports operation.
