PLEASE ARRIVE ON TIME (AIRLINE CHECK-IN CUTOFFS)
All of the airlines system-wide, not just in Helena, have enacted strict check-in time frames to maintain the schedule integrity of the nationwide air traffic system. You must check-in, pass through TSA screening (including checked bags) and be at the boarding gate for your flight at least 40 minutes before the scheduled departure time. If you are not there 40 minutes before you are likely going to miss that flight as the airline systems will not allow the local airline staff to get you on the flight. We recommend that even in Helena, you arrive at least 90 minutes ahead of your scheduled flight time.
REAL ID REQUIREMENTS EXTENDED – NEW DEADLINE May 7, 2025.
Domestic travelers must have a new Montana REAL ID driver’s license or a passport for all air travel after the May 7, 2025 deadline. Don’t wait until the last minute, set up your account and online appointment at the DMV website, today.
